We are passing through a special time. A time that will be remembered for centuries to come. 2020 will be remembered for pandemic and 2023 will be remembered for the start of the AI revolution and of course wars.

AI:

2023 is the year when LLMs have become mainstream with greater public access. It is the first time machines could comprehend our language and responds in way way that is acceptable to general people. Although LLM’s are not new, but this year there has been massive development at incredible pace. LLM’s have become multi-modal meaning not limited to text only, now it has extended to images, audios and videos. The race to achieving AGI has began.

Personal

Personally, this year was special for me for a number of reasons. Sadly, I have lost my mother this year. I have been away from the country beginning of the year for her treatment. After she passed way, I have changed my lifestyle and became health conscious. I have lost 14 Kgs weight and healthier than ever before. Now I preach others how to be healthy and following my suggestions others are getting results. I am really happy to help.

Kotha

As for Kotha, a social communication platform we have created, this has been a significant year. We have initiated monetization options and revenue generation has been started. This year our focus was fully on product. By the end of this year, we have pivoted to something that can solve one of the biggest problem in Bangladesh. Early next year we will announce this.

Geo-politics

We are moving towards a multi-polar world. This year will be remembered for the wars which will continue to next year and beyond. We have seen the rise of right wing political parties, nationalism and anti-globalists. The division is more than ever before.

Economy

Seems like the world is heading towards a dark time in terms of economy. Debt and inflation effecting most of the countries. The trust in past economic order is declining.

Conclusion

This year has been an important year although bad news surpassed the good news in this world. But I am optimistic. We learn from the past but always look ahead. Remember, crisis creates opportunities for certain group of people. If you are like me, you would seek opportunities in these difficult times and work hard on things that you can change.
